Shop

Picture of our shop

Here at A’ The Airts we are providing a platform for local artists and crafters to sell their works either in our shop or during exhibitions held in the Gallery. Our shop has a wide variety of crafts available, many of which use the Sanquhar patterns (some items are only sold here).

We strive to use local crafters and are continually finding new sources. Our well-established project – Sanquhar Pattern Designs – is revitalising the local cottage industry centred around the Sanquhar knitwear. The knitters produce a range of scarves, hats, jumpers, gloves, baby blankets and other items (some seasonal) which we proudly sell in the shop and online.

New artists and craftspeople are always welcome and we encourage those who would like to sell their goods or use our exhibition space ( in the theatre or café) to submit their work for consideration.

Cafe at A' The Airts

Our café is a great spot to sit down with a coffee and enjoy our range of snacks, soup and cakes.

Theatre

Theatre at A' The Airts

We have a theatre that can seat a maximum of 50 individuals, suitable for small productions, performances and talks. It is equipped with a projector, for presentations and is used as a community cinema. The seats are retractable, so that the space can be easily opened up for other uses. Tai Chi, and playgroups, parties and conferences have all used this space.

Gallery/Exhibition Space

The theatre doubles as a gallery and we have further exhibition space throughout the building. We generally have many exhibitions throughout the year both by amateur and professional alike and we are always pleased to hear from groups or individuals who would like to consider the space for future exhibitions.
